Everyday Strategy: Stop Using Post-Its!

Don’t get me wrong; I LOVE Post-Its (especially bright-colored ones) and they have their purposes, but for keeping track of your Master List of tasks, they are not the right tool. If you like to write them down, use a spiral bound notebook you can carry with you everywhere. Personally, I am a huge fan of using Outlook Tasks. There are countless ways you can stay on top of your tasks, calendar items, and contacts.

I use Google to schedule everything. It syncs with my computer and my phone and I can update it wherever I am. Everything from library books due to client meetings go in there.

For what I do write down, I always put it in the same notebook. Easy to lose a paper, hard to lose a bound book! I’m on book #3 since I started my business and it serves as a nice personal record of what I worked on in the past.
